Agricultural structure rebuilt to passive house standards
Lingfield, Surrey
Our client approached us about a disused stable block situated on private land with a view to rebuild it to near-passive house standards in order to significantly enhance thermal efficiency, making it an ideal living space for their elderly relative. Our team prepared a design with a clear nod to the existing structure but provided a completely new building.
Some of the features include the use of insulated double stud walling, an air source heat pump and mechanical ventilation and heat recovery to achieve a comfortable and fresh feeling dwelling. It was a pleasure collaborating with TCPS planning consultants throughout this project, and we were pleased with the overall outcome.
