Curtilage-listed barn conversion to holiday let
Arlington, East Sussex
A returning client approached us for a new project following the successful completion of an extension on their historic listed home. This time, the task at hand was the transformation of a curtilage-listed barn situated on their land. Working on this endeavour required us to adhere to the specific regulations governing listed buildings.
Our client’s vision for this venture was to convert the nearby barn into a charming holiday let, featuring three bedrooms and a single bathroom distributed across two stories. Given the barn’s deteriorating condition, we implemented a robust steel frame to guarantee the structural integrity necessary for its new purpose.
