Securing heritage-approved extension for grade II listed home
Arlington, East Sussex
Our client, the proud owner of a Grade II listed home, wanted to enhance their property by designing an extension while securing the necessary planning approvals within the stringent guidelines for listed buildings. The objective was to maintain a seamless aesthetic, including a lead roof that harmonised with the existing structure.
Their vision also encompassed improving the connectivity between the main house and the garden, creating a more fluid and integrated space. To navigate the complexities of this project, we diligently crafted a comprehensive heritage survey and statement, complemented by meticulously detailed drawings to fortify our planning applications.
Our efforts culminated in the achievement of full planning approval, a notable accomplishment given the typically challenging nature of securing permission for bi-fold doors in listed properties.
