For over ten years Spruce Architecture has delivered high quality work to over five hundred and fifty projects in the UK.
We are a team of eight full time Architects and Technicians who take clients through a full service program from design to construction completion. Our projects include both commercial and residential as well and small to medium developments.

David KempRIBA Chartered Architect
David wanted a company to take over his projects so he could semi retire as well as go on a long awaited holiday with his wife. DK Architects Ltd was a three person team for over twenty years with fifteen active projects when Spruce got involved as well as an active pipeline.
It was a very lucky day when I happened upon Spruce Architecture. I had hit state retirement age so I wanted to have more time to do other things; my small practice had run its course but there were still unfinished projects and some lovely clients. On top of this, all the legislation was changing but it was too late in the day to be worth starting all over again.
It seemed a waste to dump the experience that I had built-up over the years and deny that part of me that still loved Architecture.
Almost by accident I found Spruce Architecture – an eight person strong practice who specialise in technical details which I don’t personally cover. I met with the Owner, Phill Brady and in a very short time was on their team. All of a sudden, I had found a place where the two skill sets dovetailed really well such that I have been able to fit in with them over the last few months and they have been able to help me resolve how to finish those projects.
They are open to expanding their firm by incorporating more Architects who want to retire or reduce their hours and do a bit without a daily commitment and a longer-term responsibility, it’s very good.
I am excited about work prospects again as it is the part that engages me – design, and other aspects too, but none of the admin and businessy stuff.
